Advanced programming using WinTask scripting language

Email Alert

Postby simpsa27 on Wed Jan 13, 2016 12:45 am

I have created a piece of code but I also would like to have an email alert sent out to a specific email when a problem has occurred -

'If there is no site returned then a message is displayed and the script stops
If site$ = "" Then

MsgFrame("Moving user",1)
'If the first IP address is the same, the first line is selected and the IP address is moved to the appropriate group
ClickHTMLElement("INPUT CHECKBOX[NAME='idList']")
SelectHTMLItem("SELECT[NAME='userDefGroupList']", "Unknown User")
ClickHTMLElement("INPUT SUBMIT[VALUE='Move']")
SendKeys("<Enter>", Noactivate)

From this piece of code IF the site returns nothing that is when I would like the alert to be sent out

Is this possible, if so what function/programming language would I use?

You need to use SendEmail WinTask function available in WinTask x64 under a Windows 64 bit.
The smpt email server is set up in WinTask x64 Scheduler (Email Tab) and then in the script within the If, you can use SendEmail (you can use the SendEmail wizard to generate easily its parameters).
