Web automation on an already running browser

Postby Yasir on Tue Aug 05, 2014 1:36 pm

Hi,
I am trying to automate web forms using data from an excel spreadsheet and I think your tool may do the trick.

I do not want to start a new browser and would like the software just to write the text in the current open form. Please advise if this isw possible. ON your examples I see you seem to be mostly starting a new browser session. I would like to use existing page on existing browser that is already running.

Hello,

Yes it’s possible to input excel data on an already loaded form. If you use IE, you have just to have a UsePage line before all the lines filling the form (the UsePage tells the page title of the form). If you use Firefox, you need to add just before the UsePage this line:
#HTMLBrowser$=”FF”

The default browser is IE and if you use Firefox, the line above tells that the subsequent lines in the script have to use the form loaded in Firefox.

Regards.
