HTML descriptor using attributes of a parent

Postby luger.205 on Mon Mar 21, 2016 6:23 pm

Hi there,

I would like to target a HTML element. It does exist multiple times on a page, with the same tags (so I can not use them for targeting), but I know the ID of it's parent, which is different in each case.
Is it possible to execute ClickHTMLElement on it and provide unique identification in DOM by referencing it's parent?

For example in jQuery that would be: "#id_of_parent a[CLASS='child_class']".

Thank you

Hi,

No it's not possible to define an HTMLdescriptor using a parent attribute.

Can you provide an url that I can load to see if Spy gives some INDEX or if our Enumeration functions can return the list of HTML descriptors.

Best regards.
