Pass parameters to .rob

Postby Kerm on Tue Feb 11, 2014 10:14 am

When WinTask script (.src) is executed, .rob file is created.
Is it possible to pass some parameters to .rob file and read results when it’s executed?

Hello,
You can pass parameters in the command line invoking the .ROB execution
Syntax is :
"c:\program files (x86)\wintask\bin\taskexec.exe" "c:\my_scripts\script.rob" "parameter1"
and you retrieve in the script the parameter1 content using Command$ WinTask function.
Command$(0) contains the script name
Command$(1) contains first parameter
Command$(2) the second etc...

For retrieving the results of the execution, you can make them write inside the script, using a text file, and Excel file, an XML file, a database, ...
