Scheduler Defining Task Properties, Security tab

Within the WinTask x64 Scheduler main window, create a new task by clicking the New task button, or select the Tasks|New menu. The "Task properties" window is then displayed.

If you modify a task by selecting it in the task list and right-click it, the same window is displayed.

The Security tab in this window defines the security context for the task.

The Execution account field defines the security context for the task which will be executed :

If this information is left blank and if the task is interactive with a desktop already opened, the task will use the security context of this desktop.

If this information is left blank and if the task is interactive with a new desktop, the account specified in Scheduler options is used. If no default account is specified, an error will be reported in the Event log when the task is launched.

If this information is left blank and if the task is not interactive, the account specified in Scheduler options is used. If no default account is specified, an error will be reported in the Event log when the task is launched.

For an interactive task, the Force a new desktop with this account checkbox can be used to open a new desktop when the task is launched. This checkbox is not present if the task is non-interactive (no desktop is used).

IMPORTANT: the Security information must be filled if you have a screensaver with password ; at scheduled time, the credentials will be used to unlock the desktop.
