Data Extraction using OCR techniques

Data can be embedded in a bitmap, for example, data are displayed on a Web page using a Flash applet. There is no other way to capture this kind of data except using OCR techniques.

In the following Flash demo, you will see how a WinTask script can be created using Recording mode and Capture OCR wizard to automatize these steps:

1. Load a web page, a trading web site
2. Call the Capture OCR wizard
3. Select the data to be captured and OCRized - the data to capture is within a hard-copy screen loaded in the web page
4. Display the OCRized value

We will then review the script which has been automatically generated by Recording mode/Capture wizard and click Play for replaying the script just created and display the captured data.
